Barefaced Attack! Operation Seduction is the fifty-fourth episode of the Maison Ikkoku anime.
Synopsis[]
Ibuki Yagami devices more plans to get Godai's heart, despite the dangers of the student-teacher status at her high school. She gives Godai a notebook with several notes, but it ends up in Kyōko's hands, who goes to the school to give it back to Godai. To what ends is Yagami gonna go to conquer Godai? Are the school authorities gonna misunderstand any situations between them?

Trivia[]
- Fragments of the 1914 novel "Kokoro" (Heart) by japanese author Soseki Natsume are discussed in Godai's class. Natsume is one of the most important authors of japanese literature.
- In first scene where Godai is checking Yagami's book in his room, there is a poster of the 1985 american film "Rocky IV" in one of the walls.
- In the same scene, there is a book called "New Horizon" on Godai's desk. The New Horizon book is a real English language textbook that is used by junior high school students in Japan since the 60s.
- According to a wall calendar on Godai's room, this episode takes place on a month that has 30 days and starts on a Wednesday the 1st.
- This episode aired on April 1987, but the Tankobon manga counterpart was published around May 1986.
- That being said, April 1987 complies with these requirements.
- In the scene where Godai and Yagami are trapped in that sports room at the school, there are several balls with the legend "FIFA" on them. This is actually a mistake, because those are Voleyball balls (given the arrangement of the panels of them).
